i don't think that shaq kobe article is worth jackshit. UK had a bad game, it's amazing how many people are reading way too much into it now. basically it just says wall / cousins aren't a strong tandem together, their games don't complement each other, which is crap. he took just the s. carolina game as an example where the team leaned on cousins and they lost. a couple days ago UK was unstoppable, today they can't make the sweet 16. they played their shittiest game of the year on the road at a tough place to play against a little fucker who shot 30% but made a few circus shots at the end of the game. he doesn't talk about all the games where cousins / wall have completely decimated teams on the floor together

i wouldn't dispute that, but he tried to say that having cousins on the floor hurts wall's game, and vice versa, when that couldn't be farther from the truth. he was using the last game as evidence, when in reality Wall just had his shittiest game to date, as did bledsoe. he was right about cousins not distributing the ball and everyone kinda standing around when he touched it down low, but that's not something that occurs every game.

I guess the main point I was trying to make is that when you play only 4 OOC games and 8 in conference games, the more important thing to do is to compare your team to your own conference. In the Big East, you have two schools in Pitt and W. Va that lead the pack, however, UofL is in the thick of things with the others. Is there really that big of a difference between a low 3-star and high 2-star. No not really.In the SEC, UK has their work cut out for them. You have Florida that is pulling in a staggering average of a 4-star player...that is just mind boggling. Then you have 7 schools that have a 3.23 star average. Hard for us/UK to compete in the SEC. It's amazing we beat anybody not named Vandy.

Nope, I'll be in class from like 8-5/6 daily and I don't really plan on working. They limit us to 10 hours per week even if I do work. So I'll be going to school 11 weeks and then off 2 weeks, year round. With SUCOP being an accelerated program, the year round schedule permits your classwork to be completed in 2 years instead of the traditional 3 years, and it's 88 vs. 90 weeks of classwork which is pretty comparable. I still have a years worth of rotations after classwork. I hope I keep my grades up high enough to land a residency, in pharmacy we can do up to 2 years of residency that allows you to specialize but you do make significantly less than a pharmacist. At least I'll be making a little bit of money for those two years instead of paying out.
I agree with that Joe. He was right on schedule to be a quality DE. It's hard to even take a 5-star kid and throw him right up against major D1 football players. Very sad for that young man. I think they kept him on scholarship though to finish out his career, correct?

I just took a gander at UofL's recruits. You guys have a decent class going considering how the play was this year. If scout evaluates your last 3 commits your class could get up to near or in the 30's depending how they grade them out.

I think we need to hit up where Just Like Joe played open mike, Highland Taproom on Bardstown road, for a Cubs noon game on a Friday and drink cheap Old Style. I got the motivation today to disinfect my desk. Holy shit our office is dirty. I used some clorox wipes and wiped everything down and it was spotless. A half hour later the layer of dust in my cube was disgusting. No wonder people are always sneezing and taking sick days. The files that we have are the same ages as our veterans, so we have a city block worth of files ranging in age from 1-90. The older files crumble when you touch them. I am becoming a hypochondriac I think.

Brent - that 4-star kicker was named kicker of the decade in Georgia about 2 weeks ago when they released their HS all-decade team. Joker says he has the "strongest leg I've ever seen". I know when I was watching his scout.com video that when you see the holder place the ball down on the 45 yard line and he kicks it with room to spare...that is pretty badass.

I lost 2 corn dogs, a bottle of root beer and a can of big red. We have mountains of food that is being wasted because they decided to clean out the fridge. 2:00 is a horrible time to clean the fridge. There was not even a warning email or email at all mentioning the food being thrown away. A 1:55 email saying hey fridge being cleaned claim any food or else. That is garbage!

I think so. 15-8 6-4Win 4 of those games 19-12 10-8 in conference. Win a game in the conference tourney puts them at 20 wins. Their strength of schedule is 5th in the nation and their RPI isn't too shabby, I believe the 40s. UNLV, Western Carolina and Charlotte actually don't look like terrible losses per the RPI. Not good losses, but it could have been worse. I could see the committee taking into account the close losses to good teams and the Big East actually apologizing for the bad calls. I am trying to be optomistic.
If I am Louisville, what I am worried about is there are 7 teams that are bunched up in the 7/4 to 5/7 range and UofL is in the middle of that. So if they drop one they are suppose to win and somebody else picks one up that is when it gets interesting.

The weather is weird down here. It snowed ~4 inches from 6p to 2am, then it started to rain, when I got up and headed to work, it was snowing again. I've never seen it switch to rain in the night and then snow only during the day.

Anyone know anything about insurance? My bike is $550. My deductible is $1000. Is it a waste to make a claim or go ahead and make a claim in case something else happens? Say I have house damage later at $1000, does the two combine towards the same deductible or are home owners deductibles per incident? Is it like auto where my rate will go up if I make a claim?

Girl at work talked to me today. She heard about my bike and told her husband a state trooper in Frankfort. He was talking about how the state troopers just got the computer program linked to the serial numbers databases and he got stoked about putting something in the system so he can get notified if it is pawned or ever matched in the database. She said that he got excited about the idea of rolling into Louisville to hit up an east end high school kid for a felony of theft greater then $300 and selling of stolen goods. She told me I may be able to do a ride along if he ever gets notified. I got a good laugh and gave her the serial number. I'm not quite there on acceptance of the loss.

I'm looking for the UK - Cornell matchup in the 2nd round. I think Cornell can possibly sneak a 9 seed if they win out ending the season with 4 losses. Cornell put up a good fight against Kansas and Kansas is pretty good. Cornell can shoot the 3. They are 41% from behind the arc. We saw how UK struggled guarding the 3 throughout the season. Don't look past the rest of the field looking at Syracuse.
UK's struggles against the 3 aren't nearly as bad now as they were towards the beginning of the season. with that said, UK is beatable, i'm certainly not underestimating anyone, and I still think they'll probably drop one more this year. Tennessee showed the way really, play that packed in zone that keeps wall and bledsoe from driving, never let cousins get in a one on one situation, and you have to be on point on offense. you have to be a great half court team, and never let UK play you in transition. the ability to stroke the 3 is pretty much a must as well. but i think pelphrey said it best after getting stomped, which is when UK's hitting 3's, it's debatable whether they can be beat or not. Tenn was giving UK a lot of open looks in the first half and UK just wasn't hitting, they were like 1 for 9 from 3. the main difference between the first and second halves was UK hit those open shots. once they did UT didn't have a prayer, and they played as good a defense as anyone they've faced this year
UK definitely knows how to play down to their opponent though, they're getting better at putting teams away, but there's still a bit of a tendency to let teams stay in a bit too long.
UK just hasn't been very interested in guarding anybody. Keep in mind we have had some teams come in and hit about 15 or so trey this year, and we still won.The thing is when UK clamps down on defense, it is a thing of beauty. Defense is what will win this team a championship, they just have to figure that one out. I am still waiting for 40 minutes of defense, we had 30 minutes of defense against Arkansas, and that one was very ugly.
UT played a 3-2 zone, not the traditional 2-3. UK had not practiced against the 3-2, but started taking the threes in the corner in the 2nd half where they are open against that zone. The 3-2 prevented driving by Wall and Bledsoe down the lane and always gave a +1 strong side defender on Cousins. Patrick did what he needed to do and start posting up some, he needs to do that and knock down the shots.

That way I don't get punched in the face.I just made it into work, not because roads or anything like that but just took my time getting here today.I had another 9 inches of snow in my driveway in some places because how my house sits with the air flow I get snow drifts. Two day total for about 1/2 my driveway is about 15 inches. After removing snow for the second time, I did some cardio and then came to work. Best find of the day. I love me some Taco Bueno. I think their food is a much higher quality than Taco Bell (which isn't saying much). If you go get the #9 which is a bowl of chicken tortilla soup and a hard shell beef taco. That thing is only 440 calories, and if you go skinny style on the soup (no cheese or tortilla strips) then you are at 348 calories. Add an extra taco and you have a ton of food for only 548 calories. Good stuff if you ask me.
Oh and we might get another major snow storm next week. Not the one they are talking about this weekend but next wed/thur/fri could be another 3 days of awesomeness. I am pretty fucking tired of the snow.

Miss St played their absolute best game of the season, at one point in the second half they were hitting like 75% or some crazy shit like that, just launching everything from NBA range and hitting it, including a bank or two uncalled. easily one of those games where you say they got all the right bounces. what i said the other day about how to beat UK, they did all that, they were dropping threes, the collapsing zone, forcing UK to shoot 3's, which they only hit like 17% of, they were making circus shots, and UK still won. where they sucked on offense they made up for on rebounds and blocks. Miss St's playing for a tournament bid at home, very hostile for UK, they took Miss St's best when they weren't playing their best themselves, and still won. that's the mark of a great team. i still say they drop another game or two probably, which would be fine, but i was more impressed with the win last night than any other win so far this season. at vandy this weekend could definitely top it though

Mississippi State is a tough place to get a win at. I won't call it the best win of the season, but it is a solid win no doubt. State is much better at home or on the road. So far UK's best win of the season is beating #12 UT and Vandy when they were #24. Vandy was one of the hottest teams in the country at that time. If UK can beat Vandy in Nashville, that will be the best win.Of course UofL and UCONN wins look much better now.

He is the straw that stirs the drink and havoc by knifing through that zone defense. If you collapse on Wall you give Bledsoe and Dodson open looks from outside. If they dont' knock them down we win by 4, if they do, we win by 10+.

So when I go running I usually hit up Brown Park up by Baptist East Hospital. Ever since the hospital went smoke free all the smokers go over to the park and smoke there. They have even brought out buckets to use as ash trays and leave these sitting at the park. I find it irritating that the park is the best alternative to smoke. The playground now has a sign that says please use ash trays. So the other day I decided that since I am a good person and pick up after the dogs when I take them out to go running, the ash tray buckets the hospital employees put out at Brown Park is now the best place to throw away dog poop.

I've been doing 30 minutes a day on my elliptical and trying to watch what I eat. I dont' cut everything out completely but just trying to do better on a whole during the week. I think I've done a pretty good job.The best thing I have done is quit eating french fries, and when Abby and AJ want McDonald's I go to Arby's and get the Large Roastbeef sandwich (aka Big Montana). That thing is large and fills you up and only has 574 calories in it. That isn't too bad considering the girth of the sandwich.

I did P90x for a few months last year. The thing is no joke, but way too much to ask of anyone to keep up with. It basically requires you to set aside 2 hours a day for the workouts. If you can stick with it, you will see results - I don't doubt that.I just don't think it sets you up for success.

fuck I forgot to write about my near fight at the park. I finally say I am going to finish my run and if you want to continue this you can run with me but based on the cigarettes I'm guessing that is a no. he says he has to go back to work. Am I being an asshole if I point out that the crown molding is a little off and I can see the joints?I figure the insurance company is paying for all the labor to repair the damages, so it shouldn't be any skin off the contractors' back if I want things touched up or reworked.It is obvious that the attention to detail on the restoration work is not going to be as high as when the place was built, but they did pull all the ceilings and most of the walls down, so its not like they didn't have a chance to get it right from the start.
